David Holbrook is a dedicated public servant and entrepreneur, currently serving as the Mayor of Kermit, Texas, a position he has held since his election in May 2022. Elected for a second term in May 2024, David is committed to enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Kermit through community engagement and responsible leadership.
Born in Monahans, Texas, David has deep roots in the region. He graduated from Breckenridge High School in 1982 and furthered his education at Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, where he studied Business Administration and was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Fraternity.
In addition to his role as mayor, David is a consultant for Legends Services, where he leverages his expertise in Pipeline construction for Producers Midstream. He is also the proud owner of Poor Daddy’s Smokehouse BBQ in Kermit, a favorite local establishment known for its delicious barbecue and community involvement and spirit.
David is a devoted family man, married to Ms. Charlie. He is a proud father to three adult children and a grandfather to six grandchildren. He also enjoys time with his Beagle, Tucker. He cherishes spending time with his family and contributing to the community in which he lives and works.
With a passion for service and a commitment to fostering growth in Kermit, David Holbrook continues to make a positive impact in his community, blending his business acumen with a heart for public service.
